Support for PTSD Research and Marta Pyvovarenko
The main focus of this month's newsletter was Marta Pyvovarenko, who is our Ukrainian principal investigator (researcher) for our study on prolonged exposure therapy.
The focus of this study is to see how effective prolonged exposure therapy is at reducing symptoms for Ukrainians suffering from PTSD. As our primary researcher, Marta travels to Vinnytsia to meet with clinicians and gather data on their patient reports. These reports will not contain identifiable information and will be completely anonymous.
Although our grant funding from the United Methodist Committee On Relief is generous, it does not cover Marta's salary. At this time, we are calling for donations specifically for Marta, as our research can't be successful without her. Please consider making a donation today.
