Karolina Takes on Challenging Cases Three Years into Full-Scale War

During her July 2025 trip to Ukraine, Lena Denman met with Karolina, one of the clinicians who trained at our 2024 May Mental Health Seminar.

"At a meeting with Karolina, I learned that she helped a patient who had schizophrenia and that the patient's symptoms were made worse by the death of a family member," Lena said. "Karolina has taken many difficult cases during this war and regularly shares her expertise with the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

We are incredibly proud of Karolina for continuing to serve the mental well-being of her country and fellow citizens. Like many others in Ukraine, Karolina has been serving continuously throughout the last three years of war.

Thank you to the United Methodist Committee On Relief for funding our 2024 May Mental Health Seminar! We are continuously encouraged that it has proved beneficial to our partners. ACHF is dedicated to continually serving the mental, physical and spiritual health of Ukraine, and will continue to provide support to our mental health partners.
