July 2025 Check-in with Dariia

Lena Denman recently returned home from Ukraine, marking the end of her second trip this summer. While there, she met with Dariia, a participant in the 2024 May Mental Health Seminar.

"She states that Ukrainians, in her view, are having difficulty thinking about the future. She says that the country needs more support with helping Ukrainians access psychological services, as most Ukrainians cannot afford the cost of seeing a private practitioner in Kyiv," Lena explained.

Dariia sees patients who struggle with relationship issues as the war continues and is always seeking to improve her practice. She is actively using knowledge from the 2024 May Mental Health Seminar and working on visualization with patients.
