Dr. Maksymenko discusses the cardio aid received

The Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation purchased Gore-Tex membranes so that heart valves can be reconstructed on newborn and infant patients who have very complex heart defects. We are grateful for our generous donors and grant funding from the United Methodist Committee on Relief for saving these Ukrainian babies' lives. In this video, Dr. Andrii Maksymenko discusses how these membranes will save Ukrainian infant’s lives.

In this second video below, Dr. Andrii Maksymenko gives a report on the infant who recently had cardiac surgery using the Gore-Tex membranes provided to the Children’s Center for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.

The Children’s Center has operated on 7,709 children under the age of one years old since it opened in 2003. These Gore-Tex membranes should last the hospital approximately one year and provide up to 30 infants the surgeries they require for survival.
