Ongoing Support for Clinicians
Did you know we have ongoing support for five partner clinicians in Ukraine?
ACHF supports the salaries of four psychologists and one psychiatrist through grant funding from the United Methodist Committee On Relief. As we maintain relationships with these mental health professionals, ACHF offers clinical support and continued education.
Between June 2024 and October 2024, these five individuals had 1,063 counseling appointments with Ukrainians impacted by the conflict. Out of the entire group of 19 clinicians who trained at our 2024 May Mental Health Seminar, there were 3,112 counseling appointments conducted.
These appointments can range from 30 minutes to one-and-a-half hours and cover topics like PTSD, addressing addiction and recovering from captivity.
These numbers are staggering, and we are proud of our partner clinicians for the ways they are serving the mental health field in Ukraine. We are grateful to UMCOR for providing us with grant funding for this project of seeking to help mitigate PTSD. Additionally, this project would not be possible without the help of generous donors like you.
Although it is saddening to know so many appointments were necessary, we are proud of our partner clinicians and to be a part of serving Ukraine in such a powerful way.
