Help Rebuild the House of Prayer "New Life" Church
In July of 2025, Lena Denman visited the House of Prayer "New Life" Church in Izium, Kharkiv Oblast.
The historic building dates back to 1792, but experienced complete destruction at the start of Russia's invasion in 2022. The landmark has now been reduced to rubble, forcing parishioners of this Evangelical Christian Baptist church to worship in a temporary building.
Today, the church members are collecting money to rebuild their permanent place of worship. Poverty in the area is high due to ongoing conflict, but members donate what they can. The church passes out provisions to those in attendance on Sundays, helping to provide for the community that has shown its unwavering support.
ACHF is partnering with the House of Prayer "New Life" Church to provide funds for the building to be restored. We are calling on all ACHF donors to come alongside us and help rebuild this church, which plays such a vital role in this resilient community.
