PTSD Talk with Dr. Noni Gaylord-Harden

The Ukrainian Club at Texas A&M University invites you to an evening of understanding, reflection and healing through a special talk by Dr. Noni Gaylord-Harden, Professor of Psychology, on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 6:00 p.m. in PLPM Room 100.

This event will focus on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the lasting effects of war, violence, and traumatic loss on individuals and communities. Dr. Gaylord-Harden will explain how trauma can alter emotional processing, relationships and daily functioning — and how resilience, community and coping strategies can foster recovery.

While Dr. Gaylord-Harden’s primary research centers on traumatic stress, resilience, and community healing among Black youth and families, her expertise offers universal insights into the psychological impact of trauma and the protective factors that help people navigate and heal from devastating experiences — including those caused by conflict and war.
Attendees are encouraged to participate. A Google Form will be available for submitting questions before or during the event.

Open to everyone — students, faculty, and the Bryan–College Station community.
